Aki Yoshida ET Algorithm

1. Pick a marker you want to draw with. Use it through out.

2. If you a boy start from the upper right dot. If you are a girl start from the bottom left dot.

3. Pick the dot corresponding to the number of your shoe size from the left column and connect with the dot from #2, using the straightedge.

4. Pick the dot corresponding to the first letter of your last name from the top and connect with the dot from #3.

5. Pick the dot corresponding to the number of years at Wentworth from the right and connect with the dot from #4.

6. Pick the dot corresponding to the first letter of your first name from the bottom and connect with the dot from #5.

7. Add four digits of your birthday. (ex. November 21st= 1+1+2+1= 5) Pick the corresponding number from the lest column. If you number is over 20, add the two digits together. Connect with the dot from #6. (ex. September 29th= 9+2+9= 20= 2+0= 2)

8. Pick a color pencil. Color in the TWO smallest shapes that you have created within the big rectangle. Only color in the area that no one has colored in.

My Intention was to have a piece of art filled with colored triangles. However, it turned out to be a piece with colorful lines. There are couple of things that I would do differently if we do the same thing again in the future. One is I will make the instruction shorter and focus on the coloring in the end more. Another thing is to write "ANY shapes" instead of "TWO smallest shapes" on 8. Therefore people can color in visible shapes instead of tiny ones. I enjoyed making the instruction a lot. This exercise definitely provided me another way of thinking of art and codes.
